CHILDREN & YOUTH/YOUNG ADULT PROGRAMS

CHURCH SCHOOL
Wesley relies on strong lay leadership in our Christian Education Division. Following the "Seasons of the Spirit" curriculum, our Church School is full of talented leadership. Children are a valued part of that leadership, and we encourage them to participate in worship in many ways.

Church school classes begin at kindergarten level and go up to grade nine. Nursery is available for those below this age.  The Sunday School schedule is available at the following link - click here. 

Church School classes are held during worship, and most classes are led by two teachers. Church School registers in early fall, provides a Christmas program on one Sunday in December, participates in a Palm Sunday March in church, and enjoys a picnic in late May. Junior Congregation is held in the month of June during regular worship. This is a time for children of all ages to gather together for some informal times of worship and learning.

Our Church School Co-ordinator, teachers and minister meet at regular intervals for leadership training and to plan upcoming events.

JUNIOR CHOIR
Our Junior Choir welcomes children from Grades 1 and up. They practice every Monday from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m.

YOUTH GROUPS
Our Junior Youth Group (grades 6-8) meets at least once each month. We learn cool stuff, eat and play! Please join us!

Our Senior Youth Group (grades 9-12) is a joint group with Sunset United Church. We are called SWAT, for Sunset Wesley Active Teens, and we meet once a month for discussion, food, activities and fun! Please join us!

The Young Adults Group is open city-wide to people ages 18-30. We meet at 7:37 pm, mostly on Mondays at various churches. Call the office for details.

FUN HOCKEY
On most Sunday afternoons from October - May between 1:30 and 3:00 pm, you'll find a group of all ages and genders playing hockey either in the parking lot - or in the gym. No experience is required - come and have fun with us! 

LUMSDEN BEACH CAMP

Wesley is a strong supporter of the Lumsden Beach Camp - the United Church camp for our Presbytary..  This is an important part of United Church Ministry.   Detailed information can be found on the website  http://www.lumsdenbeachcamp.com/
